Sky Ridge is one of the most attainable new-construction entry points in the northern Hills, and that is not a small thing in this market. It sits in the foothills near Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club with I-90 access.
The homes
Construction here is active, and the floor plans are compact and efficient by design, running roughly 840 to 1,400 square feet with 2 to 3 bedrooms. That footprint is exactly the part of the market where inventory across this region has been thinnest, so a new build at that size fills a real gap.
Buying new is a different process than buying resale. We are reading the builder's specification and allowance sheet, tracking what is included versus upgraded, and looking at timeline and warranty rather than the age of a furnace. I go through that paperwork with clients and flag what deserves a closer look, and an attorney should review the contract itself.
The location
Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club is nearby, and I-90 access makes the rest of the northern Hills corridor easy to reach. In town, the recreation and aquatics center and the D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery are both close, which covers a lot of ordinary weeks.
Foothills siting means paying attention to grade, drainage and how a lot sits relative to its neighbors. On new construction I look at that while the ground is still visible.
